Settling Softly videos

Settling Softly is a series of seven video ‘pods’ that feature key insights from the hub network and other school facilitators. It captures the research from the report by Western Sydney University; Knowledge Translation to Support Early Learning of Refugee Children and their families. You can read the full report, and brief versions in Arabic, Dari and English, here.

One of the central ideas that emerged across the research was that a ‘soft’ entry point, where newcomers could feel safe, supported and learn about their new home, was critical to successful settlement.
